We would love to keep one or two hens in our backyard. It would be great to have some fresh eggs in the morning for brekfast, but we live in Dallas. Is it true that by law you cannot keep chickens in your back yard?

Cities vary in laws regarding chickens. I don't know about Dallas, but many towns limit chickens to two or three, and most won't let you keep a rooster. Luckily, a rooster isn't needed for egg production. Hens will happily lay eggs with no "hubby" in residence.
